The Neuleaph Playgroup sees the home environment as the optimal place for the youngest learners to begin their journeys. Home is the world they know and the warmth and safety inspire exploration.
Our home environments are a collaboration between our program and host parents. The spaces are beautiful and orderly. The children’s work is integrated seamlessly into the living spaces. Materials are always high quality and hand crafted from natural and aesthetically pleasing materials. New Montessori materials are introduced regularly to support the children in taking new steps
Children will be invited to work on low tables or woven work mats. Materials will have designated spaces on shelves, trays or woven baskets so children will learn organization and will be gently guided to return materials back to their place when they are finished.
The group will take forays outside of the classroom, into the hallway, kitchen or back yard. As they explore they will learn care of the environment, practical life skills and respect for nature.
