Gyrchel brings to Neuleaph a passion for supporting the whole family from pre-birth to the vital first years of child development. She studied Early Childhood Education at Brooklyn college and was one of the founding teachers at Red Hook Playgroup, a Montessori based pre-school where she developed and taught the school-wide dance program in addition to her role as a classroom teacher. It was there that Gyrchel honed her skills as an educator and realized her love for connecting with families. She went on to become a Certified Birth and Full Spectrum Doula with Ancient Song Doula Services and has since been providing support to women withn the community. Gyrchel values the importance of advocating for the rights of the family as well as seeing children prosper in a supportive community environment. As a new mom, Gyrchel understands more than ever the importance of advocacy and community support in the post-partum period and beyond. She is thrilled to be a part of Neuleaph.
